While you may assume that there is something special I did to achieve this, I'm here to tell you that I did absolutely nothing more than what we usually do while running adverts on Facebook.

However, a little twist and modifications in the usual ad options made the difference.

The product is a Male-specific product. This implies that the product only addresses male-related problems

A normal advertiser will most likely take this approach :

1. Create an audience specific for the product

2.Target the gender that needs the product

3. Select the age that needs the product

4.Select the area where people need the product most

The above method seems logical. However, sometimes in life we tend to do the illogical to achieve the desired results we crave.

To achieve the goal of selling over 600 units of Men's Health Products, I used this approach and it worked.

1. Although the product was men-specific, I targeted both genders

2. I targeted between 18 to 65 years. (in advertising, the bigger the age bracket, the better)

3. I targeted the whole of Nigeria. You should be able to deliver your product nation-wide if you are actually serious with your business

4. I used just Facebook feed to run my advert since Facebook has the highest audience across all social media including Instagram

5. I used a $12 daily budget per creative.

1. The larger the audience, the bigger the sale's funnel becomes. This will lead to more sales on the long run

2. Facebook algorithm doesn't think the way we do, I have tested targeting both genders for a gender-specific product and I can boldly say that I sold more when I targeted both genders.
