Introduction
The dream of every blogger or content creator (webprenuer) is to be seen on Google search page and of course get people to visit your site in the hundreds.
It's really frustrating to work day and night only for little to nobody to see or visit this work not minding all the hard works and resources committed to it.

In this post, I will share my personal experience on how I went from zero (0) traffic to over 65k monthly visitors within my first 6 months of launching my e-commerce website.
Before going into the approach I took, I will like to state that I was just a greenhorn on the issue of SEO when I started and I hard to discover something that works for me, amid the numerous videos and lessons I took on SEO (which didn't yield much results ).
While most of the video were literally saying "it's impossible to rank on any high volume keyword" without sufficient backlinks, I came to realize that there's another approach to getting hundreds and even millions of traffic without any keyword.
Before starting, I will like to explain to you my own understanding of SEO and backlinks. This little knowledge is what helped me in achieving success and growth on my website.

What is SEO?
This term Search engines optimization to me simply means presenting your website in a way whereby search engines can easily tell what you offer without difficulty. It is as simple as telling search engines "hey look, I deal on women shoes" and backing to claim with at least a sentence or image to convince search engines that you actually offer what you claim.
While anyone can do this, however, search engines will keep you in view(sandbox) to determine if you actually keep to your claim or you just want to play around. Your ability to convince search engines that you are really serious with your words (which I will show you how to) will make the difference.

What is backlinks and how does it work?
Backlinks are those links from other websites that points or direct visitors to your site. While this is an important part of SEO, it's not a ranking factor, rather, it's an indexing factor. By this, I mean... multiple backlinks to your site helps Google to crawl your site whenever they crawl those sites that point at yours. With this, your posts can get indexed within seconds or minutes after postings. This however doesn't guarantee that you will be ranked or that anyone is going to find you.
Think about search engines as a consultant whose job is to direct clients to stores where he is sure MUST have what the client wants. It takes first hand experience to be able to be 100% convinced that a store MUST have this products, rather than a second-hand experience (backlinks). Therefore, it's safe to say that the job of backlinks is to direct Google while consistent publishing makes Google to trust you.
I came to realize this when I started using my discovered approach to getting hundreds of traffics.
Google, just like every other search engines, social media, forums etc depends on your content to "sell" or publish adverts. This is the reason why it explicitly states in Google search Console(GSC)...that publishers who post often are more likely to grow their traffic. This simply means that if you want more people to find you, then you have to be able to post as often as possible.

My story
When I launched my e-commerce website, I simply posted few products after days of tedious keywords research, weeks rolls by and nobody visited my store. Months later, no organic traffic and I was on the verge of giving up.
Then I realized two of my competitors where averaging 500-1000 post per day and their traffics were between 20k-50k each monthly. So I decided to try this approach. I started uploading 100-300 products daily and within a month, my traffic went from 0-5k and I continued this approach for the next two months and guess what, the traffic is now over 10 times.

In conclusion
While backlinks help Google to index your post within minutes of posting it, without you requesting for indexing in your Search Console, it will barely give yield expected traffic to your site if you don't post regularly.
The key to getting traffic is publishing quality contents daily. If your competitors are publishing 10 per day, double that number and remain consistent for at least two months and I can assure you, you will soon start getting hundreds and thousands of site visits.
